The Sarah Silverman Program plot

Sarah Silverman plays a fictionalized version of herself, an unemployed, stunted woman who leads an irresponsible life. Her most notable feature is her unvarnished childlike self-absorption, which often leads to awkward situations where she can always offend her friends, family and total strangers. Laura Silverman plays her responsible sister who has the same name. This sister takes care of Sarah. Laura pays Sarah's rent and helps her in most situations.
