The Real O'Neals plot

Everyone admires the O'Neil family. Eileen is the ultimate wife and mother. Her husband Pat is a local cop and community hero. The eldest son, 17-year-old Jimmy, is a handsome wrestler, 14-year-old Shannon is known for her charitable work, and 16-year-old Kenny is clearly Mum's favourite, even if he doesn't have the athletic aptitude or selfless attitude. from his brother and sister. One day, Father Pat makes a confession: he and Eileen are secretly in therapy and are considering a divorce. Desperate, he suggests that everyone open up. Jimmy reluctantly admits he suffers from anorexia, Shannon confesses to stealing money from the collection boxes to buy a car, and Kenny reveals he's gay. These confessions shatter Eileen's myth of the perfect family. But instead of adapting, it's the beginning of a new family that stops pretending to be perfect and finally starts to really live.
