The Family Law plot
The series is set in the dysfunctional world of a Chinese-Australian family in the Australian state of Queensland, as seen through the eyes of fourteen-year-old Benjamin Law. Benjamin dreams of becoming a soap star. Meanwhile, his parents are thinking about getting a divorce. The somewhat introverted, clarinet-playing teenager becomes increasingly involved in the dramas of his family members.
