Superior Donuts plot
A comedy about the owner of a small donut shop located in a gentrification neighborhood of Chicago. Arthur is a gruff, straightforward Chicago native who refuses to sell trendy cronuts and macchiatos or renovate his dated store, which hasn't changed since its opening in 1969. That changes when Franco, a go-getter with an enterprising nature, imagines Arthur's life as his new (and only) employee, and convinces him that he can renew the store. Arthur realizes his business has seen better days and Franco may be just what he - and the donut shop - needs to thrive. Meanwhile, Arthur's neighbor Fawz, who on a daily basis urges him to sell the building to him, tries to take advantage of the renovation. Based on the play by Tracy Letts.
