Schipper naast Mathilde plot

The series revolves around the adventures of the retired skipper Matthias, his sweet sister Mathilde and their adopted daughter Marianneke (later in the series changed to Marieke). They also own a parrot that regularly says "Kopke Krabbééééé", often commenting on what's going on around them. We also get acquainted with the meddling Madam Krielemans, the stuttering and dignified Philidoor, the stupid Sander and Hyppoliet Maréchal who constantly uses French expressions, but who constantly makes language mistakes.
