Private Secretary plot

Susie MacNamara is a former stage actress, a WAC veteran of World War II and a single woman who works as a private secretary for Agent Peter Sands at the fictional New York theater agency, International Artists Inc. Susie's honest, good-natured efforts to get Mr. Helping Sands, especially in romantic matters, always lead to comic entanglements. Susie is usually assisted by her best friend, Violet "Vi" Praskins, the office's nervous and bumbling receptionist. Susie becomes increasingly involved in Sands' private life, which also leads to unpleasant situations.
