Mr. Corman plot
"Mr. Corman" follows the life of Josh Corman, an artist at heart, but not by profession. Lately, things haven't gone his way – his lifelong dream of a career in music didn't come true and he now teaches fifth grade at a school in the San Fernando Valley. His ex-fiancé Megan has moved and his former school friend has moved in with him. Aware that he still has much to be thankful for, Josh nevertheless struggles with feelings of fear, loneliness and self-doubt.

How do you rate a series about the daily life of a 30+ main character that isn't very interesting or likable? No me neither. Yet I do. Joseph Gordon-Levitt directed, produced and wrote Mr. Corman. And Gordon-Levitt himself plays the lead. mr. Corman is a lot and a little bit of everything. It's a comedy (but we can't laugh), a drama (but it doesn't affect us anywhere) and there are mini-pieces of musical in it (yawn), superheroes (bland) and a lot of philosophizing (vague). The main thread is worrying and negativism, interspersed with panic attacks. Are you already looking forward to it? Oh yes, and then I forget about the musical experiments that symbolize follow your dreams. Unfollow.
The biggest problem is the lack of attention to the story being told. What does mr. Corman and why? The 10-part series meanders from left to right, speeds up for a moment and then gently ripples on. Also with all friend, ex, father, sister and mother issues there is little line to be discovered. With the main character you always think 'who cares?'. And every other character leaves us cold. Look what I can do, Gordon-Levitt seems to want to show us. Less is more, once again.
