Sophie Haas is an ambitious detective from Cologne. In her city, she had hoped to be promoted to head of the homicide division. However, she is transferred to a very small police post in the Eifel Mountains: Hengasch, in the district of Liebernich. There her father Hannes, a retired orthopedist, rents a house for the two of them. In addition to the unfamiliar environment with its sometimes bizarre inhabitants, the collaboration with her local colleagues also takes some getting used to at first.
