Dear John plot

John Lacey is a high school teacher. When he comes home one day, he finds a note from his wife saying that she is leaving him and wants to move on with his good friend Mike. John is a modest man and he is not able to recover from this blow. He can no longer speak his words and cannot deal with living alone. To get on top of it, he decides to register with the bachelor club the 1-2-1 club. However, the group creates more problems than solutions.
