Ping Pong plot

Smile and Peco are two good friends who have known each other for years. They grew up together and have always played table tennis together. They are both members of their school's table tennis club and are both bursting with talent. However, Smile is timid and this prevents him from beating Peco. The club's trainer is aware of this and tries to do justice to Smile's talent as much as possible by changing his attitude.

Ping Pong season 1

It's nice that others add another anime series every now and then to make up for my laziness.

This was also a great series. Not great (the genre is too little for me, and my feelings about the design are too mixed), but it has a special, very expressive style that may not be "beautiful" right away (hence the mixed feelings with me) but it is for creates a unique atmosphere where imagining feelings and initiating movements are prioritized over detail and fluid animation, the characters are well developed and the story easily held my attention. An odd duck among sports anime, but that's exactly what makes it worth it. 3.25*

Ping Pong season 1

Very occasionally there was a bit of animation (purple ghost for example) that didn't really appeal to me, but for the most part this is actually pure art (with regularly a beautiful backdrop that you can print as a poster / wallpaper can set, but very occasionally also a disturbing carelessness). The positive reviews (Imdb) about a more than well-developed story were nothing too modest. The three hours passed in no time and I will definitely watch it again!

4.0* for now, but there may be more in it.

^ on purpose.
