Better than the first season in story and action. Very easy to follow, I found that a bit more difficult in season 1. Meanwhile, the division of the world is more or less clear. Henry Cavill is really great as Geralt. You find that someone who is a fan of the books and maybe the games too (I don't know now) like Henry just takes the series to the next level. Ciri is also suddenly much more mature in this season and is no longer a child but a woman. Her story is much more interesting this season. Anya Chalotra cannot be missed as Yennefer and together with Ciri and Geralt we are going to have a great season 3 I think. I read 2 books years ago with the shorter stories and although I didn't find it really spectacular, I almost feel like reading the rest. Only there is so much to watch, read, play games, ... Too much to do and too little time...

In the two years between the first season and the second season, I have become a big fan of The Witcher franchise. I'm halfway through the book series and finished the third game. That made me look at the second season with a slightly different lens. The storylines have been completely turned around because of the books. I'm fine with that, but it caused a lot of confusion on my side.
The series looks really beautiful. In this season I also improved the design of the monsters a lot, because in the first season the monsters reminded me of the Grimm series. Geralt's casting is perfect, but Ciri and Triss also came out much better this season. Unfortunately, I don't really have that feeling with Yennefer yet. As has already been said: thank God that the story now plays chronologically.
Hopefully not another two years waiting for the next season.

I really think season 2 is better than the 1st, not much difference but after having seen 5 episodes I can say that in my eyes.
