The Purge plot
Since the United States has been ruled by a totalitarian political party, a so-called Purge Night has taken place every year. The Purge is a twelve-hour night where all crimes including vandalism, murder, arson and theft are legal. A group of seemingly unrelated individuals from a small town find themselves caught up in the chaos of the Purge. As the clock ticks down, each character is forced to face their past as they gradually discover how far they will go to survive the night.

It is indeed a bit too well-behaved and the characters come off easily every time. However, there is a twist in the series. This will merge the characters. 2 more episodes to go.
Pros:
The characters have more depth and their backgrounds are clearly shown in flashbacks.
Some things come from an unexpected quarter.
Cons:
The characters get off too easily. Indeed, there have been moments to kill them with ease.
Certain stories are a little too long and are supplemented with dramatic experiences. They could have supplemented this with more tension.
