The Austrian-German team of SOKO Linz investigates cross-border murder cases in the border triangle of Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic. The team consists of Chief Inspectors Johanna "Joe" Haizinger and Ben Halberg. Joe has many years of experience, but often insults the team with her determined demeanor. Ben, on the other hand, tries to advance the investigation with his psychological skills. He is a single father, so he occasionally takes his daughter Emilia to the police station.
