Gen V plot

The Godolkin University for Crime Prevention is the only school for young superheroes, and it is run by Vought International. Here a few adolescent, competitive 'Supes' are trained who explore and push their physical, sexual and moral limits, to compete for the best contracts in the best cities. In a 'Hunger Games'-like way, they are prepared for superheroism.

Bij vlagen herken je de botte humor van het origineel terug, maar de tienerperikelen gaan tegenstaan. Het lijkt sowieso alsof het een beetje op de automatische piloot gaat. Beetje knokken. Beetje emotie. Beetje gore. Een plotwending hier en een satirische knipoog daar. En uiteindelijk blijf je op je honger zitten naar de échte serie.

At times, you recognize the original's blunt humor, but the teenage antics become a bit of a drag. It feels like it's all running on autopilot. A bit of fighting. A bit of emotion. A bit of gore. A plot twist here and a satirical wink there. And ultimately, you're left wanting more of the actual series.
