Enterprise season 1

Once again I enjoyed watching all of season 1 and I have to say that the series is still better balanced in terms of characters than I indicated earlier, not only Archer and (Trip) Tucker are well developed. The stoic T'Pol (quite arrogant at first!), the good-natured Phlox (reminiscent of Neelix too much), the initially overpowered Hoshi, the overprotective Malcolm... even the minor characters like Travis add enough personality up. It is mainly a choice of the makers to focus mainly on Archer, Trip and T'Pol, but that combination also works well. And is a lot more varied than Discovery, which is really just about Michael.

Standalone episodes, but some of them deal with a recurring, more complex storyline: the Temporal Cold War, with the Suliban returning in other episodes as well. Well worth it but my favorite episode is 17: Fusion, with the Vulcan cult allowing for more emotions, very captivating.

It certainly feels a bit old-fashioned at times, but that's actually nice and the series is less good than its predecessors.
