Dark Angel plot
In 2009, Max Guevera (codename X5-452), a genetically modified girl escapes from a secret government institution called Manticore (after the mythical beast manticore), along with eleven other transgenic children, the X5s. Here they were made and trained to become super soldiers and assassins. Several months later, terrorists detonate an electromagnetic bomb, shutting down all electronic systems in the United States and sending the country into complete chaos and economic crisis.
