Very entertaining sci-fi series with a somewhat alternative approach. The emphasis is not on the aliens that have occupied the US, but on the fight between 'collaborators' and the 'resistance'. There is actually no mention of aliens this first season. That sounds like a loss, but Colony manages to stay interesting.
After the failed Intelligence, Josh Holloway finally got a great role again. Tory Kittles (starting in films like Frankenfish) also plays a strong role as the taciturn Broussard. The rest of the cast isn't bad either, but the other characters could have been a bit more colorful. Such a Beau, for example, is a huge loss. Could have made a nice duo with Holloway, but there's no chemistry between the two at all, and Beau herself is a boring sack.
From episode 5, the episodes become more and more exciting and there is also more and more hints at the revelation of the aliens themselves. The tension between Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies is also fun. I saw that producer Carlton Cuse wants to tell the story for at least six seasons. Whether that will work is of course the question, but there are plenty of storylines that can (and hopefully will) be further explored. The aliens themselves, The Factory, other colonies in the US etc.
