Jonathan Majors' arrest and subsequent legal issues did not have an impact on the script or production of Loki season two.
British actor Tom Hiddleston has played Loki for well over a decade now, starting with Thor in 2011. Thereafter, he made numerous appearances within the Marvel Cinematic Universe and was a key figure in the Infinity Warsaga.
At the conclusion of the first season of Loki, he is sent back to the Time Variance Authority after He Who Remains is killed by Sylvie, which subsequently unleashes a new multiverse and the emergence of Kang the Conqueror, who is set to be the next 'Big Bad' of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Majors will feature as a version of Kang, Victor Timely, who was introduced in a post-credits scene after Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Majors' involvement in the MCU going forward was called into question after he was arrested on suspicions of domestic abuse.
He has since been charged with assault in the third degree, three counts of attempted assault in the third degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and one count of harassment in the second degree.
Loki "God of Mischief" manages to obtain the tesseract, which leads to his freedom. It can now move itself through different time periods and thus influence the history of mankind and some very important historical events. Loki also partners with the Time Variance Authority to protect the multiverse.
"No," Loki executive producer Kevin Wright responded to Variety, when asked if Majors' arrest changed Loki season two.
"This is maybe — not maybe — this is the first Marvel series to never have any additional photography. The story that is on screen is the story we set out to make. We went out there with a very specific idea of what we wanted this to be, and we found a way to tell it in that production period. It's very much what's on screen on Disney+."
Loki season two trailer
Hiddleston and Majors star alongside Sophia Di Martino (Sylvie), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Renslayer), Wunmi Mosaku (Hunter B-15), Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong (Miss Minutes), Neil Ellice, and Owen Wilson (Mobius) reprising their roles from the first season, alongside Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, and Ke Huy Quan.
Ke Huy Quan joins the cast as Ouroboros, an archivist for the TVA.
Within the new trailer, we see that Loki is constantly being thrown into separate sections of the new timeline, forcing Mobius to try and determine the problem. The pair travel back in time to the 1900s where they encounter Timely, a professor with futuristic inventions.
