Vernond Rombley is just nineteen when he receives fifteen years in prison for a robbery murder. The boy - who has never come into contact with the law before - has now been held in the SDKK prison in Curaçao for eight years. He himself says that he has been held innocent all this time and various (forensic) experts are fighting for a review of his case. His family feels powerless against the system. Emotions are kept inside, but conversations about Vernond bring back old hurts.
