Black Cake plot
In the late 1960s, a runaway bride named Covey disappears in the surf off the coast of Jamaica and it is feared that she has drowned or is fleeing her husband's murder. Fifty years later, Eleanor Bennett, a widow in her sixties, loses her battle with cancer in California, leaving her two estranged children behind a flash drive containing previously untold stories about her journey from the Caribbean to America. These stories, told by Eleanor, shock her children and change everything they thought they knew about their family's origins.

Very sad to be giving this two stars.It stared out so well. A 5 start beginning, that descended into confusion, boredom, and outlandish coincidences.Review of the book by Tadedecaro. This is exactly what I think of the series. Starts off very interesting but falls apart like a pudding after a few episodes. Too many changes in time and too many coincidences, and of course if Winfrey participates we already know the theme, nothing wrong with that, but I've had enough of it for a while....
