Children of the Underground plot

Children of the Underground reveals the true story of charming vigilante Faye Yager. She built an extensive underground network that hid hundreds of mothers and children. In doing so, she saved them from abuse by husbands and fathers when a failing justice system failed to do so. Stepping into the talk show spotlight to publicize the case put Yager in the crosshairs of the FBI. This sparked a highly publicized lawsuit that exposed the dark side of the movement. When she helped a wealthy banker's ex-wife and children disappear, Yager finally met her match and a huge public reckoning ensued.
