1923 plot
Historical western drama, in which Jacob and Cara Dutton lead the Dutton family, who own the largest cattle ranch in Montana. This family is followed during the 'roaring twenties', in which they have to deal with all kinds of problems, such as drought and a pandemic. The 'Prohibition' may be coming to an end, but at the same time a major economic crisis is ushering in. In addition, there is a lot of drama in the family itself.

So, season two is out now too. Well. It falls somewhere between beautiful and overly melodramatic. There is enough quality in this series.
Still, I do miss some links that really connect it to 1883 and the later Yellowstone. A few more references would have been nice. In this season, it turns out that what would later be called "bring him to the train station" was invented by the Englishman Whitfield; but the Dutton family never hears this from him, so they apparently discovered it themselves later. This attempt at a link to Yellowstone is rather weak.
Unlike 1883, I found Elsa's voiceover musings from the afterlife rather strange.
All in all, not bored.
