All You Need Is Love plot
Seventeen-part television series on the history of modern pop music, covering almost all existing genres that fell under the label 'pop', between the mid-nineteenth century and 1976. This category includes the genres folk, ragtime, 'Tin Pan Alley ', vaudeville, music hall, musical theatre, country, swing, jazz, blues, R&B, and rock 'n' roll. Although it was an emerging genre within pop music, punk is not covered. The fifteen hours of footage will feature interviews and performances (both archive footage and original footage) with and by the likes of Bing Crosby, Bo Diddley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Bob Dylan, the Byrds, Leonard Cohen, Ike & Tina Turner and many others. Among the interviews is a special one with the infamous and very hermit-like Phil Spector.
