Hitohito Tadano is an ordinary boy who wants to start his first day in high school without any problems. Unfortunately, he immediately fails when he sits down next to Shouko Komi. The other students now recognize Tadano as someone to take out for a chance to sit next to the prettiest girl in the class. Komi is handsome, graceful and widely loved and immensely popular, despite her mysterious personality. No one knows that she has a communication disorder and cannot socialize with her classmates. Eventually, Tadano makes contact with her and discovers that Komi has one goal: to make a hundred friends at school. He decides to help her.
