He dined with the mighty of the earth and preyed on the vulnerable. Beneath his broad smile was the horrific darkness of sadistic serial killer John Wayne Gacy, who was eventually caught, found guilty of the murder of 33 people, and sentenced to death. His grim story takes center stage. The series features never-before-released audio footage of Gacy's interrogation, and Gacy talking to a member of his defense team, selected from approximately 60 hours of recorded footage. Also, officers pass by and exhume the bodies from the crawl space of Gacy's home in the suburbs of Chicago. The audio feeds through this chilling take on Gacy's murder spree, while new interviews with investigators and survivors fully capture the horror of his crimes.

Powerful docu-miniseries about a very notorious serial killer from American history. With Dahmer behind me recently, my fascination with psychos is rampant here. A documentary is not always obvious to me, but this mini-series is excellently presented, also with the tapes, all the witnesses that were in the middle of it, bring you completely into the atmosphere of that horror period. 9/10.

Another good, yet profound and gripping docu-series about a serial killer. Indeed, Gacy gave less detail than Dahmer and unlike the latter, Gacy showed no remorse for his heinous acts. He blamed everything on others and apparently felt that he was not to blame. It's unbelievable that his then-lawyer says he doesn't think Gacy should be given the death penalty, not even a life sentence. Such lawyers should give them the chair, and I mean the chair that is electrified. The relatives of the more than 30 victims of Gacy have also had to wait a long time for justice. Actually, Gacy came to an easy and painless end, one shot and he didn't know anything about it anymore. Perhaps the seat or suspension would have been more appropriate in his case?
