Father Gert, his wife Ellen, son Viktor, daughter Marie and her friend Jef, grandfather Jos and dogs Leo and Marcel are all part of the household. In De Verhulstjes it appears that the Verhulst family is actually a very normal family in which everyday matters predominate in Villa Verhulst.
