Diese Drombuschs plot

The Drombuschs are an average German family living in Darmstadt near Frankfurt. Siegfried, the father, is the proprietor of an antique shop while his wife Vera takes care of the house and their three children Chris, Marion and Thommy. Chris is a dutiful police officer who is married to difficult daughter Tina from a wealthy family. His sister has a hard time after giving birth to little Daniel and becoming a single mother. Then Siegfried's mother comes to stay with the Drombuschs and makes life miserable for the whole family. After a while, Vera and Siegfried buy an old mill and start to renovate it, but that leads to financial problems.
