Two young carpenters, the married Harry Dickens and the single Arch Fenster (with his 'little black book' filled with women's phone numbers), are best friends. Harry longs for the excitement of Fenster's single life, but Harry's wife Kate won't allow it. At work, they also regularly come into conflict with their boss, Mr. bannister.
