The Third Day plot

A man and a woman travel separately to an unknown island on the British coast. The first part focuses on the man, Sam, who visits the island in the summer. There he encounters a group of islanders who want to preserve their traditions at all costs. Set in winter, the second part focuses on the woman, Jess, a strong-willed outsider who comes to the island to seek answers.

Ominous, haunting six-part miniseries that has an atmosphere similar to films like The Wicker Man and Midsommar. A little too spread out in terms of plot and the pace could have been a little higher, but the theme is interesting and the slightly surreal events are in any case exciting enough. Visually, it all fits together very nicely. Jude Law and Naomie Harris are excellent in the lead roles.
