The Munsters Today plot
The series begins where the previous one left off, in the 1960s. Grandpa Munster makes a sleeping machine that can put someone into a deep, suspended sleep. While the person sleeps, he/she does not age. He tests the machine on the whole family, including himself. Grandpa sets the timer on the machine for 30 minutes, but after closing the door a piece of debris falls on the timer and it jumps to "Eternal". 22 years later, a developer named Mr. Preston buy the Munsters' house. Together with his assistant, he explores the house and finds Grandpa's lab. He sees the machine and turns it off. The Munster family awakens in the 80s.
