Double Trouble plot
Identical Aboriginal twins separated at birth accidentally meet 15 years later in Alice Springs. Yuma was raised in Sydney with her European-Australian father and her sister Kyanna was raised in a remote traditional Aboriginal community in Central Australia with her mother. They come up with a plan to switch places to meet their other family. To protect their mother from an Aboriginal stigma associated with women giving birth to twins, the girls decide not to tell their families and the community who they really are. They then try to find a way to return to their original families.
