Het Veenmysterie plot

Hilde, an enterprising teenager, is on holiday with her uncle Antoon, aunt Johanna and cousin Jan in the nature reserve 'de Hoge Venen'. Her uncle is a wildlife watcher there. She is fascinated by the landscape, with remnants of the permafrost from the Ice Age. Suddenly, Ice Age human apparitions appear. They have names like Ezi, Dabir, Miran and Orto, and they speak a very curious kind of Dutch.
