Torchwood plot

Captain Jack Harkness is a 51st century man trapped in the past who finds himself involved in alien conspiracies time and again while working for Torchwood. Torchwood is a secret British government agency, whose job it is to investigate all extraterrestrial life on Earth or interfering with Earth. Jack's team consists of agents Gwen, Ianto, Owen, Rhys and Toshiko. This series is a spin-off of Doctor Who (2005).
