L.A.'s Finest plot

Free-spirited former DEA agent Syd Burnett starts again as a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department. She teams up with Nancy McKenna, a working mom - who, unwilling to help her, watches Syd's freedoms with envy. The two have completely different lifestyles and a very different outlook on life, but when it comes to their job, they are the best.
