The Andy Griffith Show plot
Andy Taylor is widowed and in picturesque Mayberry. Here he has to raise his son Opie and is also the sheriff of the sleepy town in North Carolina. Andy and Opie live in the house with Aunt Bee, who acts as a surrogate mother and wife. Andy's nervous cousin Barney Fife is the deputy sheriff in the village, but his incompetence creates some awkward situations. Andy does his best to make it as comfortable as possible for everyone in Mayberry.
