Trollie plot

The series follows the adventures of the somewhat dreamy Max, a ten-year-old boy. During a sleepover with his whole family at Grandma's, he finds footprints of a special animal in the snow. Curious as he is, he follows the trail, then nearly drowns when he falls through the ice and is narrowly rescued by a troll. In the friendship that develops, Max learns for the first time in his life to take responsibility for another living being.
