Under the Mountain plot

Red-haired twins Rachel and Theo spend summer vacation with their uncle, aunt, and cousin Ricky in Auckland. At first glance they are two normal children, but they appear to have a special gift. They can find objects that others have hidden through mind reading. Mr. Jones, a mysterious local resident, is interested in the twins, although the kids don't know why yet. That soon becomes clear: Mr. Jones turns out to be from another planet, and wants to protect the Earth from other alien invaders with evil intentions.
