Brendon Chase plot
Because their father is staying in India for work, the three brothers Robin, John and Harold Hensman, who are 16, 14 and 12 years old, are forced to spend the summer holidays of 1925 with their strict Aunt Ellen, who lives in a country house. If the boys do any mischief, they are punished. The house becomes a total prison when Harold gets the measles and the boys are not allowed to go outside because of the risk of infection. When the local pastor also comes by to teach at home, the brothers decide to continue. Armed with knives, oatmeal, matches and a pan, they head to Brendon Chase, a nearby ancient forest.
