On December 21, 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was en route from Heathrow to JFK when a bomb exploded in the cargo hold above the small Scottish town of Lockerbie. 270 people lost their lives, including 43 British and 190 American citizens. It was the worst terrorist attack ever on British soil and the first major attack on American citizens. This documentary focuses on the investigation into the crash on both sides of the Atlantic and its devastating consequences for the town and the families who lost loved ones. From the initial, extensive investigation into evidence in Scotland, through the US and Malta, to the trial at Camp Zeist in 2000, and the most recent indictment in late 2022.
