The Boy, the Queen & Everything in Between plot

Jacob gets out of prison and needs a job fast. He first tries his hand as a car mechanic, but gets beaten up in the garage by shady characters from his past and loses his job. Then there is only one person left who can help him: his father, Max. Max is a famous New Zealand drag queen and club owner. Jacob and Max have become estranged, but Jacob is allowed to work behind the bar at his father's club.
