An all-inclusive holiday at Hotel Montíboli in Villajoyosa on the Costa Blanca spirals out of control due to a confrontation between the quiet and modest Flemish Maenhout family and the outspoken and boisterous Dutch Emmer family. Through all sorts of hilarious and absurd storylines and misunderstandings, the stay gets completely out of hand and descends into chaos, to the despair of the hotel staff, who only make the situation worse in their attempts to maintain control.

Ik had iets verwacht zoals Costa!, maar dit was echt slecht. Soms snapte ik niet waar ik naar keek. Het verhaal ging van de hak op de tak. Ook vond ik het acteerwerk erg slecht. En er zat eigenlijk ook geen humor in. Heel jammer..

I had expected something like Costa!, but this was really bad. Sometimes I didn't understand what I was watching. The story jumped from one thing to another. I also thought the acting was very poor. And there was actually no humor in it either. Such a shame..

Mijn interesse voor deze serie kwam vooral doordat Diederik Ebbinge en Eric van Sauers erin meespelen. Pakweg de eerste drie afleveringen waren nog prima te doen. Een licht satirische sfeer en uitvergrote personages waren best vermakelijk. Na de derde aflevering kwamen de vervelende Belgische tieners wat meer op de voorgrond en helaas hebben die stuk voor stuk geen acteertalent. Het absolute dieptepunt was echter de hoteldirecteur en zijn personeel die nog erger waren dan Urbanus of Bassie en Adriaan. Waarschijnlijk was het de bedoeling om een Benelux versie te maken van The White Lotus met een vleugje Johan Nijenhuis maar helaas is het eindresultaat vlees nog vis. Ebbinge en van Sauers zorgen er echter voor dat ik me bij vlagen vermaakt heb en niet de laagste score geef. Had gehoopt dat het beter was, maar helaas matig.

My interest in this series stemmed primarily from the fact that Diederik Ebbinge and Eric van Sauers star in it. Roughly the first three episodes were still perfectly watchable. A mildly satirical atmosphere and exaggerated characters were quite entertaining.

After the third episode, the annoying Belgian teenagers came somewhat more to the forefront, and unfortunately, none of them possess any acting talent. The absolute low point, however, was the hotel manager and his staff, who were even worse than Urbanus or Bassie and Adriaan.

It was probably intended to make a Benelux version of The White Lotus with a touch of Johan Nijenhuis, but unfortunately, the end result is neither here nor there. However, Ebbinge and van Sauers ensured that I was entertained in parts and did not give it the lowest score.

I had hoped it was better, but unfortunately it was mediocre.
