Would you turn against your own fiancé if you found out he had committed murder? That is the question British Dr. Caroline Muirhead has to grapple with. She recounts how she was head over heels in love with her fiancé, Alexander 'Sandy' McKellar, but he shocked her with a terrible confession. It concerns a British man who has vanished without a trace for a week. But she cannot reveal her partner's secret. Should I Marry a Murderer? season 1

It is certainly not a bad documentary, and love can do very strange things to a person, but there are some things I still don't understand.
You know someone from a photo on a smartphone, and you just drive 1.5 hours to a very remote place, without knowing anything at all about that person, except what they post online, and of course you can say whatever you want there. And then everything she does afterwards, I don't think is particularly smart either.
It remains terrible, of course, to go through something like that....
