DTF St. Louis plot

Clark and Floyd are two suburban dads. Floyd is married to Carol, and all three are struggling with the malaise of a midlife crisis and hidden desires. One day, Clark offers a sex app called "DTF St. Louis" (an acronym for "down to fuck") in an attempt to sabotage Floyd's marriage. Clark is having an affair with Carol. The love triangle quickly spirals out of control.

DTF St. Louis is een fascinerend en subliem mysteriedrama van Steve Conrad (Patriot). DTF staat voor Down to Fuck, een app van het type Second Love. De zevendelige serie mag je gerust een beetje wonderlijk noemen; de driehoeksverhouding tussen Clark (Jason Bateman - Ozark), Floyd (David Harbour - Stranger Things) en Carol (Linda Cardellini - Dead to Me) is curieus, geheimzinnig, ontroerend, cringe en komisch tegelijk. Dat Conrad hier een overtuigende thriller (ja, ook dat) van weet te maken komt door het uitstekende script, de heerlijke vormgeving en de fijne acteurs. Ook Richard Jenkins en Joy Sunday vertolken prachtige rollen. DTF St. Louis is een fijnzinnig en origineel drama dat - gelukkig - conventioneel verteld wordt. Meesterlijk merkwaardig, dat is DTF St. Louis, en een vroege verrassing in 2026.

DTF St. Louis is a fascinating and sublime mystery drama by Steve Conrad (Patriot). DTF stands for Down to Fuck, a Second Love-type app. You can safely call the seven-part series a bit peculiar; the love triangle between Clark (Jason Bateman - Ozark), Floyd (David Harbour - Stranger Things), and Carol (Linda Cardellini - Dead to Me) is curious, mysterious, moving, cringe, and comic all at once. That Conrad manages to turn this into a convincing thriller (yes, that too) is due to the excellent script, the delightful production design, and the fine actors. Richard Jenkins and Joy Sunday also deliver wonderful performances. DTF St. Louis is a subtle and original drama that is—fortunately—told conventionally. Masterfully peculiar, that is DTF St. Louis, and an early surprise in 2026.
