Helderberg plot
Just after midnight on November 28, 1987, Mauritian air traffic control lost contact with South African Airways flight SA 295 shortly after it began its approach to Plaisance Airport on the island, en route from Taipei to Johannesburg. After the aircraft was again unreachable, a state of emergency was declared—but by then, South Africa's worst commercial aviation disaster had already occurred. This documentary series examines the mystery surrounding the exact cause of the crash.
