Las Muertas plot
Sisters Serafina and Arcángela Baladro build a brothel empire in 1960s Mexico and eventually become serial killers. The case is based on the infamous case of María del Jesús and Delfina González Valenzuela, also known as "Las Poquianchis." These two sisters ran brothels in Central Mexico for years and were convicted of abusing, exploiting, and murdering dozens of young women. The case caused a major social uproar in the 1960s and became a national trauma.
