Among the hooligans of the football clubs, the ironclad law of omerta, the duty of confidentiality, applies. They do not talk to the outside world about what goes on within the walls of the hard core. But in the three-part documentary 'De Harde Kern' Tourist LeMC finds himself in the middle of this very closed world. Old acquaintance and Antwerp Casual Chino guide him through this world. Tourist wants to understand how he, as a supporter, differs from the men of the hard core: Why do they do what they do? How does the world look at them? And especially how do they look at themselves? The documentary tries to fathom the complexity of this subculture from different perspectives.
