Born in Argentina, Fernando arrives in Salgueiro, an almost deserted town in the heart of Galicia, in search of his grandfather's birth certificate that he needs to apply for Spanish citizenship. While there, the locals try to convince him to stay in town and take on the role of leader, a role that Fernando's grandfather successfully filled until he fled to Argentina for no apparent reason. Fernando believes the city could tap UFO tourism to revive its fortunes. The entire community is under the command of its new leader, awaiting the arrival of aliens...
