In Carmen Curlers we follow Axel Byvang (Morten Hee Andersen), the charismatic, driven and manic inventor of the Carmen curl set, from 1963 to 1969. What is interesting about curlers? Creator Mette Heeno (Snow Angels) knows how to turn Carmen Curlers into a light, beautiful and elegant story against the backdrop of the narrow-minded 1960s. Carmen Curlers is many things; a social drama, a coming of adulthood story, a biopic and a touch of musical. Everything in a pleasant dose.
