In the medieval kingdom of 'Dreamland', we meet Bean, a quirky princess with a serious alcohol addiction. She dwells there in the company of Elfo, her lively elf friend, and Luci, the personification of her inner demons. Together they go on an unlikely and epic adventure.

Inmiddels helemaal gezien en dit was best wel leuk. Ik heb heel weinig ervaring met animatiekomedies als deze. Natuurlijk heb ik wel eens een aflevering van The Simpsons of South Park zien langskomen, maar dit is de eerste serie binnen het genre waarvan ik een compleet seizoen gezien heb. De humor is van het flauwe soort, maar is soms dusdanig droog dat ik wel hardop heb moeten lachen. Dat lukt de ene aflevering overigens beter dan de andere. Met name richting het einde lijkt men zich steeds meer te willen focussen op het verhaal. Ik ben het met Spacejet eens dat afleveringen 5, 6 en 7 voor mij het hoogtepunt waren. De serie is naar mijn mening op haar best wanneer het zich deels buiten het kasteel afspeelt. Voor mij ligt daar ook de potentie voor volgende seizoenen. Het erbij halen van bijvoorbeeld Hansel and Gretel vond ik een erg geestige zet. Meer van dat, graag! De animatie is tof en het hoofdtrio is leuk om te volgen. Elfo was mijn favoriete personage, maar ook Luci is spot on. Het niveau was me over de gehele linie iets te wisselvallig om er nu echt fan van te zijn, maar ik ben zeker benieuwd naar het vervolg. Van mij mogen ze vooral de rest van het rijk verder verkennen en bekende sprookjes en legenden erbij betrekken. 3*

I've seen it all now and it was quite fun. I have very little experience with animated comedies like this. Sure, I've seen an episode of The Simpsons of South Park come along, but this is the first series in the genre that I've seen a full season of.

The humor is of the lame kind, but at times it is so dry that I had to laugh out loud. That one episode works better than the other. Especially towards the end people seem to want to focus more and more on the story. I agree with Spacejet that episodes 5, 6 and 7 were the highlight for me. In my opinion, the series is at its best when set partly outside the castle. For me there is also the potential for next seasons. Including Hansel and Gretel I thought was a very witty move. More of that, please!

The animation is cool and the main trio is fun to follow. Elfo was my favorite character, but Luci is also spot on. The level was a bit too erratic for me across the board to really be a fan of it, but I'm definitely curious about the sequel. I want them to explore the rest of the realm further and include well-known fairy tales and legends.
