I regularly read a blog by an American expat in Japan and there were several visitors who are also expats in Japan who mentioned this series and called it a feast of recognition. I think this series has just as much appeal to them as De Luizenmoeder does to many a parent of a school-aged child. In Japan, office behavior is probably much more extreme than in the west, but there may also be many office workers in the Netherlands who recognize a lot in this. Annoying bosses are of course everywhere.

Unfortunately, this principle of "I recognize it, so it's funny" doesn't work for me. Something more needs to be done with it. Yes, the panda bear starts grunting to vent her frustration, but her lyrics are not very sharp and the joke of a panda bear that is very sweet but suddenly starts grunting is gone after the first time. A series like Detroit Metal City proves that much nicer things can be done with metal, which I found hilarious.

If you have an annoying boss yourself, this might be nice, but this is not for me. Fortunately, there are only 10 episodes that are only 15 minutes long. 1*.
